While our physical interaction evolved, our newsletter is more than ever appreciated.

Alzheimer's Disease (AD) consists in a chronic & progressive neurodegeneration. The precise etiology of AD is still not fully clarified but is known to be complex and multifactorial. AD is especially characterized by the presence in the brain of senile plaques, mainly due to the accumulation and deposition of amyloid-β (Aβ) peptide. Aβ peptide accumulation triggers the cascade of reactions that induces AD.

Amylgen (in-vivo CRO) & Neuron-Experts (in-vitro CRO) have both developed exclusive models for efficacy assessment of compounds against this pathological mechanism.

They will then offer their expertise to design and carry out in depth in vitro and in vivo preclinical studies on the selected candidate in order to elucidate the mechanism of action, the effects on neuronal function, apoptosis, synaptic and mitochondrial function, anti-oxydant property, as well as differentiation from reference molecules in terms of onset and duration of efficacy or potential synergies with other treatments.
